Where the data comes from
- City of Toronto daycares: City of Toronto “Licensed Child Care Centres” open dataset (all 25 wards; grouped into Scarborough, North York, Etobicoke, East York, York and Old Toronto by ward, which is approximate near old borough boundaries), including age-group capacity, fee subsidy and CWELCC ($22/day) participation. Licensed under the Open Government Licence – Toronto.
- Peel, York, Halton & Durham daycares: Government of Ontario licensed child care facilities dataset, active licences only, filtered by the regional service manager (CMSM) field; community names are normalized to municipalities (e.g. Bolton → Caledon, Woodbridge → Vaughan). Licensed under the Open Government Licence – Ontario. That dataset doesn't include age groups, capacity, phone numbers or CWELCC status.
- Maps: © OpenStreetMap contributors. Peel, York, Halton, Durham and doctor locations were geocoded with OpenStreetMap Nominatim and may be approximate.
- Family doctors: collected by hand from public clinic websites and municipal lists. Each listing links to its source and shows when it was last checked.
